Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
